What I've been up to

Okay, so I haven't posted in a good while. I'ts hard to keep up with my blog and crochet and look for new patterns, and add to my already growing stash. So what have I been up to? Trying to decrease my stash, pulled out some Homespun and attempted to make a short version of the Coccoon Boboletta sweater, and needles to say, I had my 13yr old daughter frog it for me. So now it's on to crocheting a baby blanket instead. I also just finished the 1944 chair back doily made into a shawl. Wow it's beautiful. So after the finishing of the baby blanket I'll post pic's of both finished projects.

Until then

Happy crocheting.

And last of all my current WIP, only 4 more rows and it's done. This is for a present for a friend of my DIL new baby. I have one more baby shawl to make then who knows what's next. I still have alot more pic's to post, but that will be in the near future. I guess I got the blogger bug today!!!

Coccoon Sweater and a Capelet

Here's the shrug in a different color w/skirt also

Shrug

This shrug was made with Caron Simply Soft Shadows. I just love the way it feels when worn. I liked it so much I had to make another.

Shawl Scarf

This is a pattern made from the Jessica-Tromp website, I used the Big Ball thread from Hancock Fabrics. Jessica has some really wonderful patterns.

Bobble Bolero

Here is an almost completed project. The Bobble Bolero from the book New Ideas for Today's Crochet by Rita Weiss and Jean Leinhauser. Thanks Rita and Jean, this book has been a great inspiration for me.

White Seraphina Shawl

Finally I'm actually posting some pic's of projects that I have been working on. This is just one of many.

Saraphina Shawl WIP

Gee, I almost forgot, what would a vacation be without looking for yarn. The Big Lots store in Ohio just happened to have some cool yarn, and of course I couldn't resist. It's Gedifra yarn, sort of a soft almost sport weight in a varigated color. So I decided to make the Saraphina shawl.
Well it has been a while since I posted, went on vacation, and here is the sunset on Lake Erie from Ashtabula Ohio, or better know as Walnut Beach. What a peaceful site, wished I did'nt have to leave.
